Alert Types: Notifications will be sent out when a major disaster is imminent or has just occurred, at the request of county emergency managers and various emergency situations requiring you to take personal protective actions.
You cannot assume your phone number is already included in our emergency notification database. Individuals and businesses are encouraged to add your own phone numbers directly into the system. The secure page allows our residents and businesses to add or update their contact information to ensure they will be included when an emergency, general, or weather message is sent – unlisted numbers, mobile numbers, TD/TTY requirements can all be entered.
Required information includes first and last name, street address (physical address, no P.O. boxes), city, state, zip code, and primary phone number, additional phone numbers can be entered as well.
All businesses should register, as well as all individuals who have unlisted phone numbers, who have changed their phone number or address within the past year, and those who use a cellular phone or VoIP phone as their primary number.
Caller ID: Registered citizens will know the call is from CodeRed when you see the telephone number 1-855-969-4636 and ECN Community.
Privacy: Your contact information will remain private and will only be used for severe weather or emergency alerts.
It is recommended to sign up all phone numbers associated with your home address. For example, sign up your cell phone, your landline, and your family members cell phones who are living at your residence so everyone receives a CodeRED emergency alert during an emergency event in your neighborhood.
It is also recommended to add CodeRED‘s two phone numbers 1(866) 419-5000 and 1(855) 969-4636 to your cell phone and/or landline contacts as “CodeRED Emergency Alerts.” This way, when you receive a phone call from either of CodeRED‘s phone numbers during an emergency event, you will be able to recognize the call as a CodeRED alert rather than easily mistaking the 1-866 or 1-855 number as a telemarketer.
Residents are given the option to create a managed account, or simply review and submit their information. Creating a managed account is recommended because it will allow you access to modify your existing notification settings and contact information.
Registering for CodeRED alerts is 100% FREE and simple. Residents can customize their alert preferences and choose to receive alerts via phone call, text, and/or email.
Residents can also download the FREE CodeRED Mobile Alert app to receive notifications directly to their mobile device, however it is highly recommended for residents to register for CodeRED alerts online rather than just downloading the app. The CodeRED Mobile Alert app is available through the Apple Store or Google Play.
If you have further questions or would like help signing up please contact City Hall at 903-968-2511.
CodeRED offers residents access to patented technologies. Public safety officials will be able to more effectively communicate time-sensitive messages using the CodeRED system’s robust dialing infrastructure that is entirely managed by its parent company, Emergency Communications Network. This access will allow calls to be delivered seconds after public safety officials launch a message. Additionally, the County will have the ability to better target notifications geographically, only notifying those community members impacted by an alert.
Residents may opt-out of notifications at the following link: https://info.onsolve.com/Notification-Opt-Out.html.
